adamsappel is an a capella group (a capella = singing without instruments) consisting of nine young, talented men who were brought together by a shared love of music.
The group members all graduated from the University of Stellenbosch where some had sung in the Stellenbosch University Choir; others in their residences’ serenade groups and a few even tried their hands at solo stints. The group officially came together in September 2005 and with four years of sold out shows behind them, they have entrenched themselves as the apple of the eye of many an a capella music lover across the nation.
The appels, as they’re often called, really like the connotations of their name to their vocal abilities. They are equally comfortable offering temptation by means of classical and contemporary music. They do jazz, and everything else, with a bit of pizzazz. Their style represents the point where hip meets wholesome. After all the antics, they specialise in catering for romantics! They are a familiar face at music festivals, private parties, corporate shows and celebrity weddings alike, whilst their launch of their debut album in May this year has earned them regular appearances on TV during recent months.
If it’s a special event to you, adamsappel will stop at nothing to make it memorable, and more. Their energy is contagious and their passion honest. CATCH THEM LIVE!
